No One Will Fold a Full House Posted by rebecca , under: Omaha Hi Pot Limit, Omaha Poker Hands
My hole cards were pretty weak (a pair of Tens and suited 6-3) for this Omaha Hi Pot Limit poker hand. Since I was a big blind and nobody raised I got a free opportunity to see the flop. I wasn’t getting exited too much, but the next card was free again. One player raised a whole pot after the turn card. Everybody folded but me. Thought one more heart, spiced with a little bit of luck and this hand could be mine.
River card wasn’t just any heart - it was a Ten of hearts. That was great because I got a full house, Tens full of Sixes. Before the showdown, my opponent and I raised and re-raised couple of times. I was pretty sure that he had a flush, but he had a crappy full house, Fives full of Sevens.
This hand proves Zeebo’s Theorem “No one folds a full house, no matter how crappy it may be”. Well, this guy couldn’t leave his crappy full house. I admit that on his place I couldn’t too. The only difference between his and my ways of play is that I would just follow others bets and will never raise on a crappy full house.
