We wrote previously about this topic - you must bet carefully with just a set. Specially if the set is made from your card and a pair on the table. This is exactly what happened to my fellow player in this Omaha Hi Pot Limit poker session. As you can see, I had a Full House, Nines full of Sevens on the flop. I just checked, waiting to see what others were thinking. The guy next to me pot-raised and the other one rushed with all in. I forced this further, since, as you know, nobody folds a full house. My only concern was that someone is holding a J-9. But, nothing similar happened and I scooped a huge pot.

Lets analyze for a second. Both opponents had pocket pairs, Tens and Aces. But, you don’t rush the all in with just a hope! If your card doesn’t show up - you lose! And, if you count the possible draws, if you’re holding two aces, that means that only two remain in the deck!

That’s something you need to consider when you are on the other side. If you’re holding a Full House on the flop, there are very slim chances that someone with hit the boat on the turn or river! So, bet hard. If you lose, you can always comfort yourself by calling that a bad beat.
