What a hand! You may think I am mad, but I love to play four suited hole cards. Why? Because I am mad. I figured that if you’re holding four suited cards, you will use two of them as blockers, and if three cards of same color appear in community cards, there are very slight chances someone else is holding more of them. So, when I hit a flush with four hole cards suited, I play very, very aggressive. Even though no sane person will advise this kind of play.

So, in this Omaha Hi Pot Limit poker hand I had 5-7-J-Q in diamonds. With no serious raises before the turn, community cards were free for me and they were 4s-6d-9s-Kd. Till that moment I had 4-5-6-7 straight with 8 possible outs (threes and eights), and a pretty strong flush draw with 6 potential outs (I didn’t count 3 and 8 two times), since, by my theory, neither of 2 opponents has flush potential in diamonds. That’s 14 of 44 remaining cards, which is 32%. Pretty good but not excellent. I decided to re-raise one of the guys, and we kept raising and re-raising till all in for 2 of us.

I hit 3 on the river, which was the best possible outcome since I had a strongest straight. True, I was scared of the clubs flush, but nobody had it. As you can see, I had split the pot with another small stack player, but the deep guy lost fine amount of chips. But hey, he was aiming for a set, which is not the perfect hand for Omaha Poker.
