Full House vs. Flush vs. Nothing Posted by rebecca , under: Omaha Hi/Lo Limit, Omaha Poker Hands
Well, well, well, what we’ve got here? Full House vs. Flush vs. nothing, almost nothing. My hole cards in this Omaha Hi/Lo Limit poker hand were Ac-2h-2c-Kc. Flop brought me three of a kind, Twos. I was happy and my opponent was happy too. We were waiting for just one card. I was waiting one card for a full house, he was waiting one more card for a flush. The third player was waiting for… hm… I have no idea. Turn card brought an advantage to my opponent. Now he had what he was waiting for, a flush. But, his luck lasted for a very short time. Hehe. River card brought me a full house, Twos full of Sevens.
The problem I had in my head was – is my full house strong enough? I mean, somebody could have a stronger one. But… I gave a lot of chips and I will not quit now. I will go till the end, especially because one player will take a whole pot. Nobody could win low hand since community cards contain only two low cards, two and seven.
I won this one! Cool. I understand why the player with a flush was constantly forcing the raise button. I understand why I was pushing the raise button. But, I can’t figure out why the third player stayed in this hand. He only had two pair.
