This was Omaha Hi/Lo Limit Poker table. My hole cards were 10s-7c-2d-As. Flop cards were 6c-8h-8d. I realized that the only pot I can target is the low one. One opponent was extremely aggressive so for every card we needed to pay. Couple of players wanted to see the turn card which was Three of Diamonds. I saw my opportunity to win low hand so I raised my opponents bet. River card was Seven of Diamonds. I had low hand A-2-3-6-7 and I wanted a bigger pot. I didn’t just call my opponent’s bet - I re-raised. Then he re-raised. I was thinking: Why are we raising when we will split this pot anyway!
But the truth was he won not only the high pot - he won the low as well. Yes, I won too but I got quartered. Disaster! I wasn’t sure that I won anything because I had much more money before I started with this hand. Hate that!
