Small Blind vs. Big Blind Posted by rebecca , under: Omaha Hi Pot Limit, Omaha Poker Hands

This was Omaha Hi Pot Limit Poker tournament and after this hand my position was badly challenged. My hole cards were Kc-Qc-9d-8s, and everybody folded their cards pre-flop. I would fold too because final table was so close, but I was in the small blind and I had pretty good hole cards so I decided to raise a hole pot (I love connectors, specially suited).

My idea wasn’t to commit a blind steal, but when he called my bet I wasn’t sure anymore my cards are worth that much in this stage of the game.

Flop was Jc-Ac-Qs. Another Queen showed up on the turn. I had three of a kind and a chances for a full house or a flush. I raised of course.

River card was Five of Clubs! I had a flush and I raised. My opponent called my bet again. I was so happy before I saw chips run toward my opponent. OMG. He had a Full House, Queens Full of Jacks! No way! Then I had to fight like a lion to claw my way to the final table.
