Omaha Ring Game Madness Posted by kamassy , under: Omaha Hi Pot Limit, Omaha Poker Hands

Here is one simple hand representing an often behavior at Omaha Hi Pot Limit Poker tables. I had great cards pre-flop, so I raised and my opponent re-raised a whole pot. I called and missed the flop completely. Well, not completely, I hit a pair of Queens - as close to nothing as possible for Omaha.

I tried to steal the pot with another pot raise and the other player re-raised forcing me to go all in on the flop! Well, I committed a lot of chips already, so I called looking a bit foolishly to myself… I even asked myself - why am I paying this - am I mad? Then the moment of truth came, I finally saw my opponent’s cards and I was stunned. He had even bigger nothing - Deuces! Oh my god, I stumbled upon even more mad player.

Other players had question marks over their heads! As you can see, I won the pot. Pair of Queens stood up, but I was so ashamed that I left the table immediately. Don’t do this, this is my worst poker play ever.
