Bad Beat With Cherry On Top Posted by kamassy , under: Omaha Hi Pot Limit, Omaha Poker Hands
Terrible Omaha Poker weak is behind me. It got from bad to worse with each session and each hand. I was off my balance, and I kept making bad decisions continuously. This Omaha Hi Pot Limit Poker hand was the one after which I decided to call the day off (I should do that much earlier).
After some serious suck-outs and bad decisions, I finally hit the Flush, King high on the turn. My opponent raised after my check on the flop, but was pretty nervous when I raised before after the turn. I placed him on high pocket pair, or Sevens (I was right) and I knew by his reactions that he did not have strong spades. He thought for a while and then decided to go all in. I was more than happy to call, since I sustained more than one suck-out in this session. Thought things couldn’t get any worse - I am strong, I am not drawing and he’s the one keeping fingers crossed.
When I saw his cards, I knew what I need to avoid - Five, Jack and Eight. Whoa-la! A seven! A SEVEN? Guy hit quads on the river? I didn’t even consider that possibility.
OK, that was enough of Omaha Poker for this day, this week and this century (of course I exaggerate).
