If You Want to Win You Need to Take a Risk Posted by rebecca , under: Omaha Hi/Lo Limit, Omaha Poker Hands
Whenever a tournament is moving towards the end, I tend to play only safe hands. Yes, that’s my weakness in Poker, but can’t change it. The same thing happened in this hand. After the flop I just needed one card to complete a straight. I folded just before the river because it was too expensive for me to continue in this stage of game. Nobody wants to be a bubble boy. I desperately wanted that one card but I just didn’t want to crash my position even more.
Of course, river card was exactly what I needed, and again I regretted my stinginess. The most important thing is this was Omaha Hi/Lo Limit poker tournament and the whole pot would be mine since there was no low hand!
So, if you want to play Poker for real, you need to take a risk!
